Welcome to the website of Alfreton & Ripley Air Cadets. The Air Cadet Organisation is a national youth organisation for young men and women aged 13-20. We aim to provide many fun activities which will also develop our young people in to productive members of the community and workforce.

Air Cadets have the opportunity to fly with RAF pilots, take part in adventure training all over the world, and go on camps throughout the UK, Cyprus and Gibraltar. We regularly take part in inter-Squadron competitions in sports, shooting, and aviation related subjects.

Public stalls open on Sunday

Cadets and Staff from 1401 (Alfreton & Ripley) Squadron are opening the Squadron this Sunday, 29th April 2012, in an effort to raise money for the local Derby Mountain Rescue Team. There will be stalls for cakes, book exchanges, games and lots of other interesting items for sale too. We will also be running a raffle on the day.

1401 (Alfreton & Ripley) Squadron have launched a new website (this one!) today. This website will act as a central information hub for the Squadron. The website features news publishing and member blogs allowing potential cadets and parents alike to see exactly what the Squadron has been up to recently.
